Sankatahara Chaturthi Ganesha Abhishekam

The Chaturthi (fouth) day of the Krishna Paksha (waning phase of the moon) each month is auspicious for the worship of Lord Ganesha. Sankata means distress or obstacle and hara means to destroy. Worshipping Lord Ganesha by observing a fast and witnessing the abhishekam to the Lord in the evening and taking darshan of the moon removes all sins and obstacles in the path of the devotee.

The temple performs abhishekam to Sri Maha Ganapati at 4 PM if Chaturthi falls on a weekend and at 6:30 if it falls on a weekday. You can sponsor for the abhishekam below.
