About Muthia Sthapathi
Padmasri. Muthiah Sthapathi is our temple architect who shall design the temple in a traditional style. The Sthapathi's architectural drawings were translated into construction drawings by a team of local architects. A local construction company constructed the basic temple structure, accomplished in Phase I of the multi-phased project. A team of "Shilpis" (sculptors from India) under the directions of the Sthapathi will work on Indianization of the structure (i.e. converting the masonry structure into an ornately sculptured and architecturally attractive traditional Hindu temple).
"Padmasri" Sri Muthiah Sthapathi, has designed over 25 temples in the United States including Sri Ganesh temple - New York, Sri Siva Vishnu temple - Livermore, Sri Venkateswara temple - Chicago, Sri Lakshmi temple - Boston, Sri Murugan temple - Washington amongst several others.

As per the sastras there are 16 forms of Ganapati. The citation above is a shloka for 16 forms of GANAPATI.
The Maha Ganapati Temple of Arizona includes main architectural features namely, "Upapeetam, Adishtanam, Sthamba Vargam and Prastharam" The project encompasses Temples for Ganapati, Shiva and Balaji shrines encompassing the Garbhagraha (Sanctum Sanctorum), Artha Mandapa including Raja Gopuram. The plan of the temple closely resembles the plan of a human body in which Garbhagraha (Sanctum Sanctorum) is the head and the outer gate is lower limb. The spire (gopuram) on the outer gate is the foot of the Lord. Even if a visitor does not enter the temple, he can as well contemplate on the gopuram and derive the benefit of a dharshan.
This temple has three major shrines, the Supreme OMKARA (Pranava Roopa) Ganapati in the center, with Shiva in the Dhakshina side and Balaji in the Uthra side symbolizing the Sankara Narayana Roopa.On the Shiva side we have Goddess PARVATHI providing courage and strength, on the Vishnu side we have Goddess LAKSHMI giving wealth and prosperity and in the North east side of the temple we have NAVAGRAHAS giving Solace to all the devotees visiting the divine Maha Ganapati Temple of Arizona.
This temple will be one of the best temples ever constructed in the US and showers abundant blessings to all the devotees who visit and pray here.This is one of first temples to be built in accordance with Shilpa and Agama Sastras in the South Western United States. The devotees visiting the Temple will marvel the Architecture of this Temple.
